You must not be a bargain hunter Ric. Of course, I haven't really shopped the men's department in there.

Jami...I prolly will try it out soon since I won't be going to College Station again for a while. It doesn't have to be a "nice" store, but I'm concerned that they won't have as much.

Speaking of bargain hunting, haven't found any more vacuum cleaners in the trash lately.

Tell me how much it cost to fix it, so I can tell the neighbors when I see them outside. I don't see how she broke the vacuum since judging by her house she didn't use it much.

Kathy, I vacuum so infrequently that my cats think it's a piece of furniture. But, my vacuum is not broken....

And, I recommend buying a really good shredder. My mother gave me a great one for my birthday. Works better than the crappy ones we have here at the office.

i *had* a very very good one at my office -- until my business partner's daughter attempted to shred something gummy like labels ... and too many of them... grrrr

i think it is fixable and i have tried myself, but i don't have a long enough screwdriver to get out that last little screw...

If you try to shred more than 3 sheets at a time in our office shredder it jams up every time...

I proudly admit to being 'mechanically challenged'

...and one of the Top 10 reasons why I am grateful that Bubba and sangersteve find that fact humorous enough to help me out of most jams like that.... :smoke:

My vacuum desperately needs fixing. It's LOUD, the on/off switch doesn't work, parts aren't staying attached. I'd take it in to the shop, but I vacuum a couple times a week and don't want to be without it!
