They don't really... It's too bad that women don't have as clear an understanding about this as men do. Women are used to be looked at, judged by what they are wearing, how they wear it, colors, the whole ball of cloth. And they seem to care what these people.. mostly total strangers, think about the way they have put the package together.

Sometimes I think its all just marketing.. maybe keeping an eye out for something better on each other.. how it looks, etc.... but the point is.. they almost ALWAYS take the extra time to look their best whenever they hit the door.. whether its to run a quick errand, or to be out on an evening on the town.

Men are just a little more selective about when they care. They do a quick analysis as to where they are going, what they are doing.. who they might or might not run in to.. and whether or not it matters who they might or might not run in to... it's all a matter of perspective..

If we are going somewhere with our wives/sig. others... we use this.. we don't intentionally set out to embarrass you... but, dang.. we have several old shirts/sweatshirts, jeans, etc... we usually can't wear during the week... and darned if we wanna change clothes to run to the store... because, again.. we just don't care who we run in to.. we know we aren't gonna be judged by our buddy who is also in there to get a 12pack and the few things YOU need... :)

After wearing a tie all week, I will be comfy on the weekends.. I won't wear something with a hole in it that might embarras her in it's placement.. (but, usually, that's been thrown away behind my back, anyway...)
Life would be much easier for you if you would just realize that we aren't going to make many decisions that will cause you discomfort....

heh....

I agree with you 100%, Ric.  You're right on the mark.  Mr. Texie wears a police uniform and you know how uncomfortable those things are especially after you put on all the equipment.  When he gets home, he goes for comfort.  Honestly, I can't say that I blame him.

When we go out, it's usual that I will put thought into what I'm wearing; he appreciates it as well I know I look nice for the general public.

It's not really the style of clothes my husband chooses to wear...casual is fine. It's just that he wears the same old thing when I know he's got newer in his closet that looks better and I haven't seen him wear 900 times already!!

My first thought was "are yall crazy...he'll miss his 6 favorite shirts if I hide or throw them away." But then I thought that I could just not wash them every week. He'd have to wear something else....or wash them himself(oh never mind).

Heh...thanks guys

Oh no they don't.  Some of us are married to men with uber-memories.  :eyes:

Yep, mine will miss it, but will probably grab something else if it's not in his closet. Now, if it's missing for a long period of time, he'll start asking...

Or how about "oh I think I need to wash that one..." Wouldn't be lying now would I??

I know you guys are not dumb, but are you motivated enough to dig your favorite shirts out of the laundry and wash them on your own...that is if the wife does laundry like I do.

I do all the laundry, so it is a matter of her finding the item and discarding it before I notice.. because, though I DO the laundry, I am not aware of every item that is being laundered.....
