This is from my "friends'" Wayne and Scarlett Hall. I call them friends because they are good friends of Jan's but I have only met them once, when they came to run the Yukon Quest two years ago. They stayed with Jan while preparing for the race. They live on a homestead in the wilderness. There is no road to their house and it can only be accessed by dog sled, snow machine, or boat in the summer. They also run tours. The first video is a short one of their guide getting a tourist through an area on only a small ice ledge. That would be a bit scary. The second is a longer one of every day type stuff and running the dogs, a line camp, probably a multi day trip. It's great though the lens sometimes has a touch of doggy slobbers on it lo.

| I'd never leave the house in winter. Just snuggle up to ther fire place and wait for spring

Those dogs really like that dried fish, huh? :)
I was watching that guy put on all his gear and thinking I sure would hate to have to "go" after I got in all that, not to mention how cold it would be! Do mushers ever opt for Depends?

That's pretty amazing, G. Those howls and echos are beautiful to hear. Sort of brings a chill to the spine.
And the fish.. LOL... brings a whole new meaning to Frozen Fish Sticks!
Thanks as always for sharing.

| They run a fish wheel in the summer. They need 3-4 thousand fish to feed the dogs along with kibble and other things they get.
