I hated that Locke was the one in the cascet. I had a feeling that it would be him the way he was being treated with such disdain by everyone.
Since there was a time difference between the island and the boat why didn't they have more time on the boat than they did? Or maybe they just didn't show that.
If I were Jin I would have run right off the back of that boat and jumped. And how come no one was tyring to get everyone else off he boat! For crying out loud give people a chance to jump!
Since Jack's dad and sister Clair seem to have some "place" on the island I think it is safe to say that somehow Jack has a symbiotic relationship with piece of rock.
And did anyone else notice who Hurley was playing chess with? MR. Echo! I'm guessing we haven't seen the last of him yet either.

Ooh - I missed that as I was putting laundry in the dryer. Thanks SC! I'll check it out when I get a chance.
I didn't notice it either. I was talking with my son about his homework. Grrrrrrrrrr.

Did anyone catch that Charlotte (redhead) is an island native? When she was talking to skinny guy about not leaving, she said she wanted to see where she was born.
Hmmmmm.

Oh - I went to the octagon website - it said it was "seeking volunteers to assist in a range of UNPAID positions"
Then it said "The Dharma Initiative is a multidisciplinary research collective dedicated to improving the human condition through innovative scientific research"
It asked for an email address if I was interested - I signed up. I'll let you know if anything interesting comes through.

Okay, many of y'all have asked the same questions I have, but I'm not gonna quote, like, 10 posts to make it look neater.
~ From the 8:00 'til almost 10:10 I kept saying Who is Jeremy Bentham ?!?! Meaning out of folks we already know; I figured the name had to come from history. Thank for looking that up, Roders.
So how and when did Locke get off the Island ?? Why did he leave, knowing he could not go back ??
~ Also wondering what Sawyer whispered to Kate on the helicopter. Maybe something about Claire and Aaron ?? Or the thing that Kate did to help him, which Jack gets upset about in the future ??
Claire was very adamant about not letting Aaron go back in Kate's dream / vision.
And were Sawyer ( been awhile since we've seen him shirtless.... ) and Juliet safer or in more danger being right on the beach when the Island moved ??
~ So that flash forward airport confrontation scene between Jack & Kate from last season takes place three years after they get back ??
~ Heh ---- loved how the Whispering Trees freaked out Martin !! And who did not yell at their TV "Guys, he's wearing a bullet-proof vest; make sure he's seriously DEAD !!"
~ Cute scene with Rose & Miles and the peanuts.
~ Also wondering about the fate of the folks on the motor raft, and hoping that Jin, and others, were able to jump to safety.
~ So when Jack's dad comes to someone ( like Claire ) , are they dead, too ?? Or can he save them ?? Hurley gave the impression to Walt that Michael is still alive.
~ Charlotte ( finally I remember her name !! ) has already visited the Island ?! Something about "Back here" in the conversation with Miles ( why is he staying ?? )....... And how she's "still trying to find where she was born" ?? Not find out, but where......
So maybe the Island has been moved before ??
~ Dr. Edgar Hallowex is the Dharma video instructor/brainwash dude. Is that name significant ?? What's the Kasimir Effect ??
~ Ooh, I got chills when Ben responded to "You just killed everybody on the boat !!" with "So ??" One of the coldest-delivered lines I've ever heard in decades of TV watching...........
And I wondered if the tunnel was gonna take him to Antarctica with that parka........
~ Did we see Mr. Eko, or did Hurley just refer to him with "Checkmate" ??
~ Oh, I cried tears of happiness for Desmond when he and Penny were finally together !! But I did yell at the TV, "Watch out for Others masquerading rescuers !!" Her yacht is called the Searcher........
~ Interesting scene with Sun & Mr. Widmore. I keep hoping there's an entire firing squad of our friends lined up to off him in the series finale............
~ Is the island of Mimbata a real place ?? I got results in Russian when I Googled it.
~ Why should Jack or anyone believe Benji when he appears and say they all have to return ?!?!
I think I've covered all my scribbled notes except for these :
Best Lines of the Night :
Hurley "I dunno ---- leader stuff." Hee hee !!
Benji : " If you mean time-traveling bunnies, then yes."

I'm more interested in what was behind that wheel Ben turned. And what the island is exactly.
The biggest "mystery" I want solved is the remnants of the statue that they found... the one with the four toes.
Oh, and the Smoke Monster too.

I am going to re-watch the episode now.
Hated to see my man Locke had gone tango uniform.
I think Sayeed is gonna end up "offing" Mr. Widmore next year.
I am wondering about the raft people too.
I am going to have to find a new avatar now.
It was a great season finale, though it left more questions than it answered.

Did you see Good Morning America today? They showed the other two endings, in case this one got out. It showed both Sawyer and Desmond in the casket. SO that makes it interesting. Like wise I thought once you got off the island you couldn't die. Remember Michael? SO if they all have to go back, and take the dead with them, then the island can bring them back to life?????? SO Locke might not be gone after all. I knew Sawyer was going to be on the series next season, as he said so in an interview, so even if they had used him in the casket, he will be alive next season. SO Locke will still be around some how.
In the endings, you see Locke, and they have Sawyer as aback up. But why Desmond? he wasn't left behind.

Cliff, I might be mistaken, but I thought they showed Sayid and Desmond in the casket as back up dead.
It was hard to tell with the dark beards, but I thought I heard Diane Sawyer say "of course we knew it wouldn't be Sawyer."

| Lots of questions here, too, but most have been covered already. The only thing I can add is about Sawyer whispering to Kate. Remember a few weeks ago when Kate went on some "errand" and Jack was upset because she wouldn't tell him what it was, other than it was something she'd promised she would do for Sawyer? Maybe it was that?

This is an interesting site that gives a timeline to the flash forwards/backs.
And this is the spoiler site I've been reading - it has video of the 2 alternate endings from GMA. You were right, Cliff, it was Sawyer.

And for those of you who just cannot get enough Lost and the seasons over, ABC has these little short clips that I think are suppossed to give you missing pieces. But they baffled the bat crap out of me. Heres a link to it.

Sawyer kicks at dead body: Dang freckles, he do something to tick you off?
Kate: I didn't kill...that one.

I watched those, Roders, and they confused me too. Were they shown on tv? or just for the internet? I don't remember any of those clips, but then I don't have the previous seasons on dvd. Might have to get them for summer watching while on the treadmill.

Enjoyed those also; just forgot to write them down........... I thought Kate might continue with "But the day is young."
Thanks to those who watched GMA.

Got this site from the other board I read - it explains how Ben moves the island. I don't really grasp the time-space stuff, but it was interesting anyway. It also explains Daniel Faraday being there, the 305 degree and the Casimir effect.
On another note: I scored Lost Season 3 at Best Buy today for $19.99! It was mismarked but they had to give it to me for that price. You should have seen the Asst. Manager running around making sure there weren't any other boxes marked that price. (If there were I would have gotten for somebody). Also got season 1 & 2 at 1/2 Price books. I'm going to watch them from the treadmill this summer.

If I was one of the writers, I would have had Sawyer say, just after he jumps out of the Helo, swims to the beach, and climbs up in front of Juliet. "forgot to check the iron." Or something like that.
