NOOOO! I love her - she was always so precious. Always upbeat and loved working with the FW zoo.

that's what i was thinking but the story sounds like it was something else:
Early morning NBC5 meteorologist Rebecca Miller ABURPTLY has left the station and already has been removed from the nbc5i.com Web site.
Brian Hocker, director of programming and operations, confirmed Miller's departure Wednesday, but said the station would have no further comment because it's a PERSONNEL matter.
A permanent or temporary replacement for Miller hasn't been named yet, Hocker said.

Well, I guess I'm shopping for a new morning news station.
The had somebody new in the anchor chair Monday morning- at least I hope she was new - who was talking about transfers at Fort Worth's Pas-kal' High School. LOL!!!
I don't know how to do the little pronuncuation thingies, but you get the picture.

If Channel 5 fired her - Piss poor decision. If she left on her own because of personal reasons, I wish her all the best and hope she finds what she wants.

Maybe they will take Delkus of channel 8's hands.

I liked her too, she was very personable, and yet knowledgeable. She didn't try for the sensationalism like others do. I am sorry she is gone
Like was said before, if she was fired, I will write letters, if she left on her own, best wishes for her.

I rarely watch Channel 5, but I did always like Rebecca Miller. I'm really sorry that she's gone.

It's rumored that she was fired for getting David Finfrock's hair wet when she tossed him into a swimming pool at the last company party.

It wasn't a babe situation. Stations don't erase all evidence of your existence without reason, and don't call it a "personnel matter" when someone leaves for greener pastures. It also happened a week after the end of Sweeps, and evidently right after she got off the air.
NBC5 has made some awful decisions lately - including the soft launch of HD and a terrible, error-filled transition to a fully automated studio. But this has all the appearances of some sort of necessity.

Maybe she refused to do a sleepover at the station like Delkus.

A friend who knows her would tell you that her off the air personality is just as consistently nice and upbeat as we have seen on NBC5. I wish her a better tomorrow.

I will ask my friend who works there if he knows anything. He liked Rebecca very much. On the other hand, he despises Finfrock.

I have been told that Finfrock has been known to get upset if you refer to him as a weatherman and not a meteorologist.....perhaps the continued reference has beaten him down.Last edited on Thu Mar 6th, 2008 03:53 am by

If there was a female version of the late great Harold Taft, then it was Rebecca Miller.
I remember her 1st week in town and she was doing the morning weather with WBAP. For somereason, she started crying during the report, and for once Hal Jay was speechless and offered some sort of real nice words to the effect that with emotions like that, she would last along time in this market...
I would love to see her go back to WBAP. I get really tired of hearing the canned fake dialogue between Hal Jay and Greg Fields...Short of her having a non-compete clause...I would love to see her as the "Chief Meterologist" for WBAP...She would bring alot to the morning show and would prolly not put up with Hal Jay's stuff...kinda like Laura Houston except for the weather.
