Are you serious?????
Roids don't have a long lasting positive affect (i.e. four years down the road)...just look at Pudge when he quit taking them and how small he became...
Hamilton is the most drug tested individual in baseball...three times a week...
and LEB.. you're a Cardinal fan.. have you seen the immediate effect that stopping steroids has had on the once very bulky, but now awfully regular-sized Mark McGwire?

1. I haven't seen Mark in quite some time.
2. There's no reason for him to be on anything for a career that's been over for six years.
3. I never said Hamilton is on rhoids right now.

For the record, Hamilton has played in 132 games as of this moment with 470 MLB at bats. And we were talking about Rangers records and Josh only has a quarter season in with Texas and a mere 362 HR's to go before catching Juan.
FWIW, in Juan's first 695 at bats, he had 32 HRs and 122 RBI. In Josh's 470 at bats, he has 29 HRs and 96 RBI.
Juan does have one more playoff victory than Josh, though. Juan hit well in the first playoff series, but had 3 hits and 1 RBI (a solo homer) in the other two series.
But Juan proved he was a great hitter over a number of years. Josh may destroy all of Gonzales's records but even if he averages 40 homers a year the next nine years, he'll still be short of Juan's team record.
The best player is the one with the HR record? Interesting theory.

What is "best" is always a matter of opinion. I could make good arguments for ARod and Raffy being the "best." But since Josh is a power hitter perhaps it's best to compare him with the #1 HR & #1 RBI producer in Rangers history.
Juan also ranks 9th in BA, 2nd in Slugging PCT, 2nd in Runs, 2rd in hits, 1st in total bases, 3rd in doubles and also 1st in strikeouts.
Josh could wind up dominating the Rangers all time record book one day like Musial presently dominates the Cardinals. But that's many years off and a lot can happen.

Of course, Hamilton doesn't have Franco, Pudge, Palmeiro, Will Clark, Dean Palmer, Rusty Greer and/or Mickey Tettleton hitting around him. In '96, SS Kevin Elster had 99 RBI for the Rangers. He was fourth on the team.

3. I never said Hamilton is on rhoids right now....then what is the roids comment about?????? They don't have a carryover affect!
As for your other comment talking about Juando being the best Ranger player...when I talk about Hamilton, I'm not talking solely about hitting...the Best Ranger to date has been either Pudge(probably) or A-Fraud...Hamilton is as unbelievable defensively and speed wise as he is hitting...still early, I agree, but this dude reminds me of what I heard of a young Mickey Mantle (tool wise)...

You hear Mickey's name brought up a lot in conversations about Josh. High praise in my opinion!
edited to add. I just hope he doesn't have as many injuries as Mantle.

Not many 5-tool guys to begin with plus Hamilton is white.

I think Mickey would have been much different in today's medicine...he basically lost a knee to a sprinkler head...

I bet we never see Josh come out of the dugout, jump over the wall, walk up to the concession stand and get a beer and a couple of hot dogs between innings though.

No question. Even with that injury in the 52 series, Mantle still had a remarkable career in spite of bad knees. But they took their toll and MM was only a shell of the player he was by the age of 32.
