The city has announced the water rates are going up . . . because we're not using enough water.

Yep. I've been pitching a fit about it. Unfortunately, with the new council members and all, only Gary Slagel responds to phone calls and emails, and he was against the increase.

The other members either don't know how to respond to emails or make phone calls, or they just don't care what the people think, save for a few of their close friends.

They might care in a week or two after I send them last night's hospital bill because of their really carppy sidewalk maintenance...

We had two problems at Canyon Creek Park...One was a missing water main cover that took them nearly three years  and a couple hundred complaints to replace, then more recently a mysterious and uncovered pipe coming out of the ground next to the elementary school. That only took a year and a few dozen complaints to cover up.

But they decide to raise those water rates, and they get 'er done in two hours.

they did that several month ago to us here in plano...the water dept. had a budget shortfall from our conservation efforts so they raised our rates to make up the difference....:who:

Well, some idiot in Richardson has raised so much hell about it by sending emails and making calls to the council members and the city manager's office, he had 9 phone messages from people wanting to discuss it. I won't give his name here, but it's a friend of mine.
