In my first day day of the week meeting with the plant manager, we got the technical stuff done. Then she inquired of my weekend, I told her about the new great grand baby.

She then related to me that the daughter of a family friend had been murdered over the weekend.

As she told the sad story, of which she had no details, other than a lady had been shot and killed by her husband.

I learned that the young woman had two children, one by the shooter and one by another man. The young lady was a good mother and smart, that her husband also had two children, both from an ex who gave him custody.

I also was told that the family had just returned from a vacation to Disneyland.

As I listened to the tale of grief, it struck me that this didn't add up, the picture that was painted had a few pieces missing.

So I googled the with the only thing I had, her first name and a location.

Below is the scant story I could find, but before we get to that, my thoughts from the only known facts, the news story.

The young lady was not in her family home, there was another person wounded, the husband was the shooter.

The other person shot is described as a family friend wounded in the incident, the family friend was a male.

I see a jealous husband confronting his wife at another mans house, he pulls the trigger on her, then shoots  the man he suspects his wife has eyes for.His aim for the wife is true, he thinks he has killed the lover and then calls police, hoping he will be vindicated as a spurned spouse.

A San Angelo man was in Tom Green County Jail, charged with murder after a shooting in Grape Creek on Saturday left one woman dead and sent another man to Shannon Medical Center, according to county officials.
The suspect, Matthew Samuel Salazar, 31, is accused of shooting and killing his wife, Heather Shane Salazar, 30, with a handgun, officials said. He was set to be arraigned Sunday morning at the jail.
The shooting occurred in the 8200 block of Poplar Lane in Grape Creek, at the residence of Bradley Floyd, 30, who was injured in the incident, according to officials.
“The suspect was apprehended at the scene,” Tom Green County sheriff spokeswoman Lt. Christina Lopez said Saturday afternoon. “Investigators are out there ... collecting evidence.”
Texas Department of Public Safety and county officials were at the site. Caution tape blocked Magnolia and Brown drives where they intersect with Poplar. More tape was strung around the mobile home where the shooting occurred.
County dispatch received a call at 12:19 p.m. Saturday about the shooting, Lopez said. EMS took Floyd to Shannon by ambulance with unknown injuries.
Tom Green County Sheriff David Jones, who was at the house with investigators collecting evidence late Saturday afternoon, said Floyd’s injuries were not life-threatening.
Justice of the Peace Eddie Howard pronounced Heather Salazar dead at the house.
The circumstances of the shooting were unclear late Saturday.

You can lead a liberal to the truth, but you can't make him think.

People can take San Angelo water only so long before they crack.

You can trust me. I have journalism training.
