1) Special Teams
and
2) Chase Daniel as 3rd string QB
After being waived by the Redskins from their practice squad, Daniel was signed to the New Orleans Saints practice squad on September 6, 2009. He was promoted to the active roster on September 26, and named the emergency third quarterback for the September 27 game against the Buffalo Bills.
The Saints waived Daniel on October 12, 2009 after placekicker Garrett Hartley came back from a four-game suspension, then re-signed him on October 16.
On November 17, 2009, Daniel had been cut once again, to allow the Saints to sign cornerback Chris McAlister.
He was signed to the team's practice squad once again on November 20, 2009.
Daniel was released from the practice squad on December 9, 2009, only to be re-signed to the practice squad two days later on December 11, 2009.
Daniel was promoted to the active roster prior to regular season finale on January 1, 2010.
Chase Daniel was a member of the 2009-2010 New Orleans Saints Super Bowl Championship team, although he did not take the field that season.

Because the FIX was on. It was all about the city of New Orleans becoming "healed".

The onside kick at the start of the 2nd half might've been a factor.

No turnovers and very few penalties helped. But I see what was being alluded about Chase Daniel and the air time he seemed to be getting by hanging around Drew Brees on the sideline...when it was his former Southlake teammate, Hartley, who made a difference.

I'm glad NO won, but I think a penalty might have been called on the block on Manning on the Int runback...

As much as I didn't think it would work, it appears that the New Orleans defensive game plan was a good one. It appeared that they wanted to take away all of the long balls, and to also take Reggie Wayne completely out of the game.
