   | At the rate this is going, they may have to bring Cliff Lee out of the bullpen to pitch in relief.

   | This game doesn't worry me a bit. In fact, they were probably overdue for it. Far better to get beaten - and they were, in every phase - than to lose a heartbreaker. They played their worst and scored seven runs. They can get to Lincecum. The Giants averaged 4 runs a game through the season.
Anyone think they'll hang 11 up there again?

Anyone think Lee will have back-to-back playoff outings like that? Michael Young fields that hard grounder or snags that line drive and it might have been very different.

But that's the way baseball go.

   | I agree with Jody.. Hey they scored 3 late and some against that nutjob closer Brian Wilson. I think that will come into play later. Now they know they can get to him. And being down 7 with 2 out in the 9th they still score 3. Not a great start but I think they will be ok. If they can come back from the kick in the nuts loss to the Yankees in game 1 of the ALCS..They should be ok..

   | Man, I know you know stats...but even I can't follow that. Please tell me you just didn't fall over on your keyboard.
And I confess - I like Brian Wilson alot. My kind of guy.

But we can get to him.

   | It was not a good effort by the Rangers last night, that is why its a 7 game series. And Cliff Lee was way to rested, he wont be the next time they play.

   | Just one loss.    We didn't get the great pitching duel that was anticipated, either.

   | The Twins won the first two games of the 1965 World Series, beating both Sandy Koufax & Don Drysdale.   But the Dodgers came back to win the Series.
