I have collected and run Lionel O gauge trains since 1950. I am a member of various railroad and model railroad clubs. I spend some time driving across the country riding behind steam trains. My favorite is the Colorado narrow gauge.

I am also a member of a group that preserves a photographic history of Fort Worth.

Lionel, you and my dad would have lots in common.  Is there a group that preserves photos of Dallas history?  He is looking for a photo of a specific place in Downtown Dallas where his grand parent owned a shop at one time.

I like to look at old photos of Ft. W.  Lots of cattle.

Greetings, I'm treehugger.  Nice to meet ya.  I like green.  Except in the fall when orange, red, yellow, rust, brown, and dormant are all just fine.  Dormant is pretty much my current condtion but I pop up now and again like ozone on a summer day...a bit hazy to view and difficult for the residents to inhale.

I'm 1stimestar, that's First Time Star, not First Trimester. I'm a doula so it is a common mistake. I'm the resident Alaskan among other things.

Hi, I'm Benbrook Susie and I actually live in Benbrook.

Lurker for most of 2001; became a poster in December 2001 ( wholly carp, soon I will have been on the various incarnations of this board for seven years !!  ) and haven't shut up since.

Love 60's & early 70's music.  I can turn any thread into a Lyrics Thread.  Likewise with references to "The Dick Van Dyke Show."

Love my Longhorns, my sister's Tar Heels, and the Red Sox.  Love baseball, college football, and college basketball.

Lived on three continents and two states by the time I was 9 years old.  Still miss Virginia, even though it's been over 30 years since I lived there.

Love to travel.  Have no money to do so.  Will scrimp & save to splurge on books.

Am a Night Owl from way back.  I partially blame ( and credit ) Johnny Carson for this.

Jack Bauer and Dr. Jack Shephard are integral parts of my life.

Can't leave the house without ice water.

I am often found mowing grass, crushing ice, or treading water for as much as five days at a time. I have a variety of interests but have led an otherwise boring life.

I was born on a cold winter night in March of 1952. Mom had been in labor for about 6 months before I shot out of there like Grandpa leaving a brothel raid. They told me I bounced off all four walls and the ceiling before landing in the punch bowl.

My childhood was uneventful, except for that one incident involving the National Guard and the shaving cream. Unfortunately that one is classified and cannot be shared here.

I have had a varied career. I have won cliff diving championships in Kansas, spelling bees in the Kremlin, and math contests in Arkansas. I once saved a group of nuns from a ravaging horde of Amway representatives while armed only with a ball of string and a paper clip and once, while attempting to climb Mt. Everest, had to stop to rescue some puppies from a Hare Krishna conversion.

My interests include bank and wire fraud, extortion, counterfeiting, baby seal clubbing, and needlepoint. I can cook 5-course meals using only a Bic lighter, and hold a black belt in Full Contact Origami.

Anyone wishing further information will need to make a public information request to the Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, or the Richardson Public Library.

Patsy here.  Welcome Aboard Precious!  Just remember you are precious to me - I have a pretty bad name memory and will usually call you Precious to make sure you know I am talking to you.

I am a grandmother to be - when my son ever finds a girlfriend or a wife - so in the meantime i just hold everyone else's babies.   And I also have the cutest doggie on the board - Knotlazy's is pretty cute but mine is newer:kiss:.

I work from home and have been on some pretty crazy deadlines the last few weeks so I haven't gotten to post much.

I better get to work.

Welcome Aboard Precious!

It's for Chie:

Yay!

Hi! My name is Chie, I live in Great Britain  I can't be bothered to work, so I spend my time shopping and going on adventures all over the country.

I'm a bit of a tomboy and I'd like to join the Army at some point in the future, just for fun. My favourite interest is current affairs - I have the news channel on in the background all day.

My favourite hobby is travelling. I'd love to go spend Christmas in New York. I say that every year, but I never get round to doing it.

I'm a big fan of 80s music, the cheesier the better. When I get bored of the news I like to watch Desperate Housewives, soap operas, The X Factor (our version of 'Ameican Idol'), The Apprentice, stuff like that.
