Talked with Stoli last night, and got this texT from earlier that he wanted me to pass on to DD.
He is awake, alert, talking, no negative neurological signs, breathing on his own...Thanks again for the thoughts and prayers

Little update on Dad....he is still at home resting, but he is getting bored.
He can't drive for a month, so he is starting to get a little stir crazy. He has plenty of sick and vacation days built up, he doesn't want to use his short-term disability because he won't get paid commissions and he is having a really good Q4, and his company is completely cool with that.
He is starting to get closer to sleeping through the night and has a doctors appointment later this week just to check in with the Docs.
Hard to believe that earlier this month I was standing over him in the ER pretty sure I was going to lose him and last night I watch the Cowboys game with him on his back porch and we had pizza and split and six-pack...amazing.
Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers.

jeff d here on the board has known my Dad for 10 years....he told me "well, your Dad now has a governor on him"........Dad got a kick out of that.
