What the hell happened. They just scored their 20th point to take a commanding lead, so I went to take my shower and Bozingo! Lead gone.

I think this failed onside kick says it all. 4 Cowboys ran past the football....just what the hell do the coaches teach?!

Neither can I.

Let's see...It's October 25th and:

The Stars have 5 times as many wins as The Cowboys....

Who only have one win.

The Rangers are not only in The World Series, but favored to win it.

Texas plays Baylor this weekend...Baylor is ranked...Texas isn't.

Weather report for Hell says 100 per cent chance of snow & sleet...great skiing reports.

Hmmmm....Is there anyway we can petition to have that lockout moved up to, say, tomorrow?

OK, I'm not really criticizing the officiating, which had nothing to do with the outcome. However...

Can someone explain to me what the difference was between the play where Whitten was being held up by 3 Giants, a 4th piled in for a cheap shot which looked suspiciously like helmet-to-helmet contact on a helpless ballcarrier, and Gurode knocked the 4th guy off and got called for a roughness penalty

vs.

The play where 3 Cowboys were holding up Bradshaw, and 2 Giants players knocked off 2 of the tacklers, with no penalty called?

I may be dense, but I have no clue why the first one was a penalty (on the Cowboys), and even less why the second one wasn't (given the first one).

I thought the first flag was going to be on the 4th Giant defender, and was shocked that it was on Gurode. I watched both plays 5 or 6 times, and I can't make sense of them. Anyone?

Oh, and the second play I'm referring to was with a little less than 3 minutes remaining, inside the Cowboys 20.

Refs seem to have a low opinion of the Cowboys

And FWIW, I totally disagreed with the announcers on kicking the field goal when the Cowboys were down by 18 and inside the 5. You kick the field goal when the possibility of scoring the TD is low-probability, say 4th and goal on the 13, or 4th-and-long from the 30.

Then they said, "Cowboys shouldn't be going for 2 yet." I think that's totally wrong. Go for 2 immediately. Then you know what you're facing. If you don't make it, then you know you have to score 2 TDs. If you wait, it's a one-shot deal.

Then, when it was 41-35, one of them said something about how it would have been good to have had the field goal. Uh, d*****, if the Cowboys had scored the TD, they would have been ahead.

Maybe that's why Gruden isn't coaching anymore.

I think you may be right.

FWIW, I also suspect that if the hit on Romo had been Ratliff on Manning, there might have been a penalty and a fine.

Based on what we've seen recently, the Giants could have been flagged on one of their touchdowns for choreographed celebration. But I nit-pic.

I agree that even with Romo healthy, this game was going to be loss #5 anyway.  The defense couldn't stop the Giants and even with Romo in there, the offense wasn't moving the ball.  We all got over-excited because it was 20-7, but without the 3 early turnovers, there was probably no points except the spectacular Dez runback.

I always feel like we have a chance with Romo in there, then when he gets hurt, all hope is dashed.

I have to say it weekly, so here goes...this is an INCREDIBLY POORLY COACHED TEAM.  In fact, it may be the worst coached team in the NFL.

Or, they're just not that smart - and whatever the staff is saying is going right over their heads.

Which I think is a HUGE component in this. There's very little football IQ on this roster.

Hey Jody, if you think about it, ask Brad  "When did the Cowboys make Janet Napolitano the defensive coordinator?"

Unmotivated players LOOK stupid, when in reality they just don't have the strong desire to win.  Stupidity certainly may be a piece of this, but it doesn't take a smart football player to tackle and block.  It takes one who wants to win IMHO.

I suspect the current management/coaching structure of this team leaves the players wondering who is in charge and for how long. With any organization, if there is no one in command, or if the person at the top is incompetent, there isn't going to be much in the way of motivation.

Theory offered on the radio this morning:

Starters with fat contracts and no emerging young players to push them.

1. I think that is what got Romo his contract..he made you think he could do it......but ....and Parcells warned everyone about Romo....he is prone to inaccurate passes at the worst possible time..because of his style...Romo....still hasn't gotten it done...we need a better QB...one that won't let ,players with big fat contracts slide

2, A bad team will continue to find ways to lose

All seriousness aside...

Wade always looks like someone just asked him to explain the process of cryogenics.

And during post game interviews Romo looks like he's trying to suppress laughing because he has a funny hat on his head.
