I am not a fan of calamari.  I mean, I like octopii / squid fine in their natural habitat, but do not like the taste.

Well, you do have to be carefull how you cook them, prepare them wrong, and it is like eating rubber bands.:eew:

But done right, the are just great!:hooray:
I do understand though.......Scallops are just not my bag.  Fried squid I will eat, but octopi, and squid any other way is just not gonna happen.:who:

I, of course, LOVE scallops !!!

If your only experience with them was at Red Lobster, you did not have real scallops.  You had pencil erasers.

Oh yes! I am planning on making that as soon as I can. Missed the opportunity this week.

I am taking over a recipe file to maybe get a DD cookbook going. Any additions will be most welcome.
The Lush recipe is back in last weeks coupons. Those who do not have it, I will post it if needed.

There was a chinese place on McCart in FW that was really very good. Bamboo Garden. I don't know why it went away, but it has been replaced bt a joint called Chef Pappas Buffet. Claims to be Cajun American Soul Food.

I don't know why I just assumed that it would be Chinese again.. but they get aggravated when you say that...

Oh, well... I won't be darkening their door anytime soon....

I'm betting with a name containing 'Pappas' they could be in some hot water if the greeks decided to push it.

Also, something called Pineapple lush sounds like something I ought to try

Went to Golden Corral for the first time in at least 8 months today for lunch ( yeah, I had a coupon  ).  Love their salads.  And they had added mandarin orange slices since last I was there.  Omigosh, they was yummy !!

Discovered by accident that the raisins from the broccoli salad ( not as good as Furr's, but okay ) go quite excellently with the Seafood Salad.

Had mostly veggies with a little bit of pot roast ( really tender and not salty at all ), then found the Teriyaki Wings.............oh, my............

I still enjoy their Nanner Puddin' very much.  Also the cakey portion of the German Chocolate cake.

The waiter was very pleasant; that always makes for a better dining experience.

I'd already made the adjustments to the recipe in my head, let's not tell any one though.

My parents went out to some "fancy" restaurant long ago and kept wondering why the french fries were so damned chewy.  It was calamari... :)
