Happened to turn on the portable radio ( always set to one of about four AM stations ) whilst getting ready to run errands this evening, and I hear the name "Mitch Rapp."
Turns out I was listening to KSKY & Hugh Hewitt, who I hardly ever hear ( don't have anything against him; 7:15 p.m. is just not usual radio time for me ), and he was interviewing Vince about the new book !!!!!
Missed the first and last 10 minutes; hoping to find a podcast or something. I turned down the volume when they got really specific about stuff that happens in this book ---- I like to be surprised.

bbs, my "advanced ordered" copy of flynn from b & n arrived two days AFTER it was in the stores---AND it was an audio-book instead of a book-book!
B&N bricks & mortar store took care of the exchange with no problem and i am shutting down the computer to go read the new adventures of mitch rapp now....
btw, fwiw, i gave the new spenser novel about a C...."I" know about hawk & susan and love the characters but i think parker is being tired or lazy about the plots....

Glad B&N Actual Store was able to resolve the problem. I would have been mumbling many, many bad words some folks think I don't even know all the way there. Might mumble some now just on your behalf.
Finished Pursuit earlier tonight. Have begun the new Spenser. Thanks for the review.

Greg wrote: Brad Thor is in the same genre. Excellent. CIA operative / SO type central character. New one out I haven't read. Last one prior was toned down, but in the others the main guy is one bad dude. Takes no stuff at all from the terrorists.
On Marti's recommendation on the Other Side, I purchased and read his Lions of Lucerne. WOW !!! Got the next two at Half Price Books and am about 50 pages into Path of the Assassin.

It has already been posted in another thread, but for those of you who don't know, Robert B. Parker passed away this week. Rest in peace, sir.

Almost done with Brad Thor's State of the Union. Couldn't stand the thought of not having the next books available, but no luck at my local libraries or Half Price books.
So I resigned myself to paying retail and went to Borders. Well, almost retail ---- I had a 40% off One Item coupon from when Waldenbooks was closing at Ridgmar Mall. Sunday was the last day it was good. Lo and behold, there were Blowback and Takedown, just waiting for me !!

Forgot to mention the amazing amount of fascinating history in Blowback.

I feel very confident in saying that if you like Vince Flynn's books, you will like Brad Thor's.
I suggest that you read them in order ( my brain demands that I must, but to some, it doesn't seem as crucial........ ). There's a chronological list on this page :
