Someone in Hollywood should really think about making some movies out of these books if they haven't already.

Mitch Rapp is James Bond/Jason Bourne on Steriods!

I just finished my first Vince Flynn book. Read "Protect and Defend". Really enjoyed it. My first spy novel since I got tired of T Clancy 15 yrs ago.

Vince is my favorite author. Each time I begin a new book of his, I try to take my time and savor it................ but it never works. The end of each chapter leads me to read further to see what will happen next, then the next, and the next.................
I wish he could put out more than one book per year!!

Happened to see a Vince Flynn paperback at Albertson's last night, and picked it up largely because of this thread.

It's the 3rd or 4th Mitch Rapp book, and I'd like to read the previous ones in order first.  So a trip to Half Price Books and / or the library is needed this weekend ---- like I need an excuse...........

Tom wears me out.......you can be 400 page in to a book and he is still doing character develop on people all over the planet.......and heaven forbid you set one of his books down for a week or two....you have to go back 2-3 chapters just to figure out what is going on.

I have a Clancy novel at home that I have read the first half at least 3-4 times.

HPB only had VF's most recent books, but today the library had his first three ---- now I can read them in order.  I love it when that happens !! :shades:

Brad Thor is in the same genre. Excellent. CIA operative / SO type central character. New one out I haven't read. Last one prior was toned down, but in the others the main guy is one bad dude. Takes no stuff at all from the terrorists.

I started Transfer of Power night before last, love the fact that I am only about 30 pages in and stuff is already happening in a hurry....Flynn hits the ground running in his books, and I really like that.

Wish I wouldn't have read them out of order, but oh well, still great books.

This sounds promising.

I'm going to look for this guy.

Y'all heard about Charlie Huston?

Now that I've read the first three and am in the middle of the 4th ( the one I got at Albertson's ), a return trip to HPB was necessary today to make sure I have more.  Picked up books 5 through 9 in paperback.  Those should keep me occupied for awhile..........

Stoli,

Thanks for the VF recommendation.

Stoli,

Thanks for the VF recommendation.

:five::kiss:

I am going to track down a couple more today at lunch, thanks for the reminder.  Need something to read this weekend by the pool.

Mitch Rapp and Dirk Pitt are my favorite characters in Novels right now.

Started reading Vince's "Term Limits" last night, about 90-100 pages in, looks like it is about to get really interesting.

I was reading the ones that I had with Mitch Rapp as the focus.  I finished those three and picked this one up.  Going to make a trip over to half price books at lunch one day this week and pick up a couple more....I will have this one read by the weekend.
